I Have A Disease, I Am Not A Disease. Poem by Karis Braithwaite

I Have A Disease, I Am Not A Disease.

If you cannot guess, the 'disease' = clinical depression.
The poem is about a relationship that broke down because of my selfish behaviour.
It's slightly autobiographical.
As the first line shows, I was very 'emotional' while writing this piece, so it kinda sucks lol.

The poem:

'Why is it that this emotion just will not ease?
My stomach churns; I feel you treat me like a disease.
I've got this relationship on a life support machine
And without you there is no shoulder on which I can lean.'

rhyme seems like no problem; however, other than that you lack several essential poetic devices. but all it takes is time. before you upload your poems, ou should revise them at least three times, there is always more to improve. keep it up...i'm not a profession, but have taken few courses in poetry and have had much practicise. on behalf of jake, davke
