I Have Been Brandwashed Poem by Daniel Hooks

I Have Been Brandwashed

I solemnly swear to uphold the principles of consumerism
Buy apple Mac pcs
Purchase Gucci and Armani clothes
Make acquisition my God
Protect and serve the companies and their bid for globalisation
Assimilating every nation without hesitation
By covering myself in brands and logos
I swear to buy my food from marks and Spencer or Tescos
My girlfriend’s lingerie from Ann summers
And my trainers will be Nike runners
I will uphold the rules of spending
I.e. lots and pots of money
On the latest fashion and fads
That I crave now and can’t wait for later
All in all
I love to spend
To keep up the trend
To buy my way to happiness!
