I Have Loved Mother Nature Since Poem by Francis Duggan

I Have Loved Mother Nature Since

I have loved Mother Nature since i was a boy
And learning of her ways i still do enjoy
Yet the more i learn of her the more my wonder of her does grow
And i have come to realize so little of her i do know
Yet so many of her bird sounds familiar to me
There is no mistaking the call of the pee wee
Or the distinctive call of the pied currawong
The dark yellow eyed birds who have rain in their song
In life we never stop learning as some like to say
And from Nature we learn something new every day
Her wonders are many and her secrets not few
And every day of her we learn something new
How complex Nature is i have come to realize
For us every day she has some new surprise.
