I Have My Opinions Poem by Francis Duggan

I Have My Opinions

What matter if I do condemn or condone
I have my opinions and they are my own
I may not agree with some things that you say
But respect to your freedom of speech I do pay.

Many of your ideas on life are quite different to mine
And with you and your mates I'll never wine and dine
We make our own friends and we make our own foes
As we go through life and that's life I suppose.

To my way of thinking none I wish to sway
And if you disagree with me that is okay
I go my own way and I do my own thing
And the praises of those I feel worthy I sing.

We all look at life through quite different eyes
And all must grow older but few do grow wise
And though your ideas are quite different to mine
You own your opinions and that suits me fine.
