I Have No Exes Poem by Randy McClave

When this New Year does start
So, will I with a brand new heart,
And as the New Year does begin
So, will I without worries or regret or sin.
I will have no past memories of exes
No more perplexes,
No more memories or feelings for them will I hold
My emotions will no longer be controlled.
Those exes I will not think about or ever miss
And from them I will not long for a hug or a kiss,
I will not ever remember their face or name
Because, I will not be as I had came.
What I had and held for them will be all gone
When I awake on the New Year's dawn,
And this I will excitedly say
I cannot wait for that happy and freeing day.
If I ever see an ex in the store or on the street
As a stranger them I will only greet,
Because, them I will not know anymore
Unto them I've locked every window and door.
We don't know each other
That is my honest and truthful druther,
We don't know each other here or there
We don't know each other anywhere.
As we start a brand new, New Year
I look for joy and happiness and no worries or fear,
Hopefully a new relationship I will find
So, I am finally leaving you far behind.
I am starting the New Year with a clean slate
I have no exes and no one including did I ever date,
And if you ever see me passing by
Please don't wave, or smile or even say, "Hi".
All your pictures and letters have been erased
All your inspired poems and stories I wrote have been replaced,
I don't know you and you don't know me
My soul and my heart from you will be finally free.
