Somebody please echo it back to me
I have not failed
Even as the sea covers my totality
And am in the bottom of it
As long as I still feel the earth under my feet
I have not failed

The wind of circumstance blows me
But the universe has a beginning and an ending
Then I have not failed
Though my heart is heavy like loads of rocks
My soul is light, as it wanders in thoughts

The fire might leave me with no skin
Yet I feel me breathing
I have not failed
Even as tears well-up in my eyes
And cannot stomach the hurt from my thoughts
I will tell myself I have not failed

I will float over the waters again
At a time the wind will release me again
Soon my heart will learn to love again
Wait and see, I will grow a new skin again
And I will sing from my tears as I will fly again
I have not failed
No! I have not failed
