Halt time for just a moment,
let me tell you what I really want to say.
After I do you can walk away,
never hearing my voice again.

You wont like it,
but I cant help it.
I'm falling for you hard,
and I'm sure you don't care.

I go day by day wondering,
never grasping what you want.
Thoughts fly a mile a minute,
only to get lost in your eyes.

I wish there would be a time,
a time where you see me for me.
I never stop caring about you,
even when you're in the arms of another.

I stand in constant vigil,
ready to protect your aching heart.
Always the street sweeper,
never the knight in shining armor.

All I wanted to say has been said,
feel free to walk away.
I cant act different from who I am,
I've fallen for you and you don't care.
