I Haven'T Met You Yet Poem by Kenneth Muhangi

I Haven'T Met You Yet

I havent met u yet,
You thAt I think about all the time,
Even yesterday when I shouldn't have,
Remember when I should have been asleep,
But instead I lay awake,
Listening to my heart pound inside my chest,
Smiling at why I was smiling,
You thAt mAkes my palms sweat,
When I hold your hand,
And try to be strong,
You that takes my breath away,
When I take you into my arms,
As we listen to the rain,
And count the raindrops,
As they fall to please us,
You that I cannot leave without,
That I would give up my life for,
If it meant spending eternity without you,
You ask why?
This world is yours and mine,
If not ours then it ceases to be,
And when we make love,
Oh my days,
You are my everything,
And everyday we are together,
Is a fairytale in it's self,
You listen to me,
Like a queen to her king,
Embrace me like it's the last Moment we have,
When I do meet you,
And finally learn how to fly,
When my lips are around yours,
Then we will know,
We are beyond what lovers call soulmates,
But one as it was intended to be...
