Kenneth Muhangi Poems

I havent met u yet,
You thAt I think about all the time,
Even yesterday when I shouldn't have,
Remember when I should have been asleep,
...

If music was my heart...
Id sing and let it hum forever,
If music ws my soul,
I wd listen to its song,
...

I saw a little boat far away,
There just where my eyes could see,
It danced on the water
Like a possessed belle,
...

-I shall remember this moment,
Not because of the sentient dance of my heart,
Or the sudden flush upon my cheeks,
It won't be because of the song that plays on my lips,
...

I feel,
The soft caress of the wind on my face
The warm embrace of the sun on my skin
I feel the passage of time in every minute second
...

Just say yes

Let me give you my heart
This day that shall be ours
...

The broken clock stole my time,
As I closed my eyes and sought to remember,
Are these the thoughts of my dreams,
Or the stories I had long abandoned, Forgotten to the pages of old
...

Marry me i asked the sky,
On this subtle summer day
Before the music should die,
And the clouds lose their wings,
...

'The morning broke fast today,
the night shy when it last saw
my queen lost to the stars,
then when my heart took leave,
...

10.

what if,
if i had to ask whEre fate was,
or where it wanted me to be,
would the answer please me,
...

11.

We both know why,
Yesterday stole our song,
We both know when,
Questions plagued our hearts,
...

12.

I saw a bird today,
Perch and fly on a cloud,
The sun stood idly by,
Smiled and let it be,
...

13.

' Hear my voice or cast me aside,
listen to my words,
or close your heart,
...

I Haven'T Met You Yet

I havent met u yet,
You thAt I think about all the time,
Even yesterday when I shouldn't have,
Remember when I should have been asleep,
But instead I lay awake,
Listening to my heart pound inside my chest,
Smiling at why I was smiling,
You thAt mAkes my palms sweat,
When I hold your hand,
And try to be strong,
You that takes my breath away,
When I take you into my arms,
As we listen to the rain,
And count the raindrops,
As they fall to please us,
You that I cannot leave without,
That I would give up my life for,
If it meant spending eternity without you,
You ask why?
This world is yours and mine,
If not ours then it ceases to be,
And when we make love,
Oh my days,
You are my everything,
And everyday we are together,
Is a fairytale in it's self,
You listen to me,
Like a queen to her king,
Embrace me like it's the last Moment we have,
When I do meet you,
And finally learn how to fly,
When my lips are around yours,
Then we will know,
We are beyond what lovers call soulmates,
But one as it was intended to be...
