I Heard The Flutter Of Wings. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I Heard The Flutter Of Wings.

I heard the flutter of wings.

I heard the cooing strong and loud.

Yet I saw not pigeon.

No, not even hiding in the small loft

Nor saw I ghost, or shade or shroud.

But fear felt I.

Though fear saw not I.
