I Just Had Another Idea Poem by Annie Cordelia Adams

you scream and then they scream back
you dream and it's like a galaxy attack
every organ hovers on over to where it belongs
the heart in the center; i can hear it in my headphones

i just had another idea
i just found out that the world's not real
unless i can feel the gluons moving past my face
beneath this ghastly place i'll bet
the sun doesn't sleep at all

and i don't sleep a week not a wink at all
because your voice is so beautiful
it astounds all my oceanic friends at this
i keep wishing i could watch you sing your kiss
