I Know Some Day Poem by Hannington Mumo

I Know Some Day

Time has not healed as the proverb says,
Still bite the memories of those colorful days
When love flapped her wings and left,
And my heart began to sorrow with debt
Of warmth and kindness unpaid;
And delicate words yet unsaid!

I never shall have the gone days
That I spent studying your fragile ways
And took no time to love your eyes;
And since they say love never dies
I know some day this I'll do:
A wicked joy known known to few!
