I Listened Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Listened

I saw the tiny droplet fall,
And listened.
It's sound was so soft,
This sound glistened.

I heard the murmur of the grass,
Moving oh so softly in the wind.
It's sounded like a trill
Of air and a breeze.

I whispered to a lion once,
And I heard a roar.
I will never want to hear that so close,
No, no more.

I heard the sound of a snowflake land,
So gently on the snow.
It's lack of sound, no some light sound,
Was beauty in the making.

I hear world sounds,
And they've become a part of me.
Thank-you sounds for making,
So much sound beauty.
