I Listened Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Listened

I listened

Hey Daddy, I listened:
"Do not make a grave…"

You meant of animals
(To live on meat, kebab.)

I listened and obeyed
With it have always felt
The knife in bone, flesh
Of the lamb and chickens.

Guess I am murderer
When I chew or get taste
Of butchered animals...

Hey Daddy, I listened:
"You won't need a doctor
If you eat right and well
From fruits, vegetables
In right time; seasonal,
When nature delivers."

Am healthy in this age
Just because I listened.

You were and are, will be
The ever-best teacher
That I had and could be.

Hey Daddy, I am sure
That you are near me
Even if I can't see.

Are you a soul or ghost?
Or are you spirit?

Don't believe in science:
"Everything ends with death, "
No matter how and when,
I see you everywhere;
You are the: "God's breathe."
