I Live Poem by Benjamin Elemide

I Live

I live.

In the world of tales
where secrets are encrypted in words
and wisdom in spaces,
there I live as puzzle.

I am the puzzle in the wrinkled face
of the moon,
and the alphabets of light that makes
the smiling sun
which is the condiment to make strong the clay
and enough a bane to expose the flaw of the wax.

I live, an endless tale...
Birth is a sequel to infinite stories
written before time was timed;
death is a prequel to immortal stories
where immortalized mortals shall be spectators to the immortals.

I live, endless -
tale written in the language of lights and sounds
on parchment that changes form
like the motion of robin in flight.

I live, a tale,
endless!
