I Love Thee' Poem by Lana Grissom

I Love Thee'

Rating: 5.0

Leaves scatter in the wind all awhile she feels so lonely within
they need to be raked but the yard and the hurt in her heart are to great.

The rain comes beating down
just as the rapid beats of her heart
of anew love found.

He use to be mine all mine
but as the season change, so do the circumstances over time.

The seasons are measured and are always on time
just like true friends who have unconditional love for one another
lasting a lifetime.

Winter hails and thunder rolls
but our relationship never went cold.

The fog rolls in and she laments that she's not at home.

As her life lead her on a blind road full of excitement
minus the man who meant.

Safely home barely able to see
she feels safe, intimate, and warm
from hearing the words 'I love thee'.

'He use to be mine all mine but as the season change, so do the circumstances over time.' I think it's so true, as time flew, everything can change.. emotions, attitude, men, woman... But we'll try to stay genuine..
