I Love You Poem by Minerva Agriam

I Love You

If I could only speak the speech of a thousand hearts,
If I could only reveal the hidden secrets of the lonely heart,
If I could only see the longing of the wanting heart,
If I could only say to you how in love is this heart!

If I could only paint the colors that I saw in your heart,
If I could only compose a reasonable prose for your heart,
If I could only sing symphonic melodies for your heart,
If I could only traverse spaces to pierce your heart,
If I could only build a castle to enthrone your heart;

If I could only trespass the boundaries in your heart,
If I could only bring myself to lurk within your heart,
If I could only pass my pounding heart to your heart,
If I could only tell how my heart longs for your heart.

If I could only touch the stars & offer them to your heart,
If I could only bring the hindrances away from your heart,
If I could only spell the secret beauty of your heart,
If I could only be that strong for your heart,
I would have had said, 'I love you' from my heart.
