I'M Dying Inside Poem by Dawn Rodgers

I'M Dying Inside

November 17,2008

I’m dying inside,
No longer want to ride,
Stop this merry-go-round,
I want to get off...

My heart can’t take no more,
I’m tired of picking it up off the floor,

Crushed and broken,
Shattered,
The pieces all in your hands...

Do you even give a dam?

On your way,
Doin’ your thang’

Don’t even stop to contemplate
How your words and your actions
Cause all these reactions...

Just stand there looking
Like were acting a fool

When you’re the reason
We break all the rules

So give me my heart back,
And leave me alone,

Don’t call me,
Don’t even look at me,

I’m gonna turn my heart into stone.
