pain is strange
its not a game
walking around with no one to blame
and yet, it all just stays the same
moments turn into hours,
and hours to days
and yet nothing strays
the pain stays and stays
this load on my shoulders get heavy
and harder to hold
my back aches from the strain
should i just give up
or try to live up
to what everyone sees
i hurt you yesterday
im so sorry, in everyway
i just didnt see it coming
but i had to hold strong
i was right, and you were wrong
together you say, is where we belong
the tears on your face just cut right to the bone
i couldnt walk away
i couldnt leave you all alone
life flashing before our eyes
with death so close
it made me realize
that our life is too short
to be causing each other greif
so i held you close
and i could feel your relief
and yet still the tears streamed down your face
telling yourself, what a disgrace
you knew you had hurt me
and so guilty you felt
your heart held close in my hand
and i could feel it just melt
your not the most handsome
or average of friends
but the fact that you care for me
makes the amends
so im sorry i dont love you
as much as you need
i know that it hurts you
that your spirit just bleeds
but for now just hold me
it doesnt matter that much
and i will comfort your sorrow
with smooth gentle touch
