I’m Waiting For Your Return Poem by Nilufer Dursun

I’m Waiting For Your Return

With my hands together firmly your clasped hands,

Broke off my heart…

Now I ‘m waiting for with

My twisting heart which is

In your hands.

Either you come, or bring my heart back…

I’m on the school way, it’s five p.m.

From the sky sadness, full of smoke is falling down

So is dirt full of palm, from my hair of soaking wet,

Hill hill always hill, station, terminal.

When people becoming less in Tandogan Square

Your suitcase in your hand, I’m waiting for your return…

How many sirens did ring, still it’s six p.m

Men are running towards their homes

I’m waiting for your return.

Evening of Ankara without you can’t be tolarated.

In Tandogan Square men are silent.

Come again and again to Tandogan Square

Let my eyes sip your longing glass by glass

Come again and again to Tandogan Square,

I’m waiting for leaving your hands in my hands…
