I May See Her Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I May See Her

Rating: 5.0

She invades often
With garlands even
I find flowers on bedside
With her fragrance to confide

Neither has she allowed me peace
Not permitted to live at ease
She has her own style
I wonder about it sometimes

Time ticks by every second
I am also very much fond
She remained so close
Always ready to stand by and pose

I would love to see in person
But I find no special reason
Why am I being pulled towards?
It may be real love to look forward

I venture over vast land
Where she had first asked me s friend
I dream about those happy moments
As I consider them heavenly sent

I am not turning cold
She used to be my real world
About her beauty I was certainly told
And was made known too about her keenness to enter fold

So I will keep mind open
For her entry again
In my isolated kingdom
That might have happened seldom

I would love to understand
Her view points and trend
Why was she compelled to depart?
Or prefer to be away and separate

My eyes have found her
In my trusted chamber
It has smelt fragrance
I may see her again not by chance
