I Miss Home Poem by CHIGOZIE DANGOL

I Miss Home

Rating: 5.0

I miss home, where nature is lush and the fields are green
I miss the sweet morning dew of freshness as the clouds steam with love
I miss everything that once was but now memories forever cherished
I miss you and the warmth of your embrace.

Those days are gone but my pain is still fresh
Like a cut that never heals, each moment reminds me of you
Times I wish I could embalm through and through
If only to preserve what we once had

I missed you and the love you promised
And though you made me cry, it was only you who did
My heart is sealed and cold
Yet memories of you tears me apart

If ever a thing was right, it was you
If ever a chance was given, it was then
We are worlds apart and you still make me cry
Because you are the one part of my life that makes the difference
