I Need You Badly Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

I Need You Badly

I am like a motionless river.
Now I am almost getting dry
With the heat of stress and worry.
So many weeds have grown on me
To stop my course, to choke me.
I need you badly my dear.
Fall, fall on me like the showers of rain
To save me, to save my entity.

I'm like a tree with only pale leaves
Which are falling one by one
From my half dry branches
And my flowers are almost lifeless.
I need you, just you my dear.
Drench me, drench my branches
With the showers of your love
To make me lively and fresh.

Now I am like a caged bird
Tied with the chain of fate.
Looking at the sky for hours
I've lost my strength to sing.
Come, come to free me.
I will sing in full throat
To fill every heart
With joy and happiness.

I am like a lone convict
Confined in a solitary cell
For long long time.
I am totally unknown
Why I have been pent.
I know I am just guiltless.
Only your holy love can show me
The way to the eternal freedom.
