I never knew a thing or two
would make a blush upon my cheek.
I always thought that you’d be there
to make me blush when you would speak.

I never knew the rose you gave
would make me feel just like a queen.
I always thought that you’d be there
to show me what the rose did mean.

I never knew that love can die
just like the rose, just like the blush.
I always thought that a man would try
to share his thoughts. I thought too much,
and not just a thing or two.
