I once had a ring
A very precious ring
I wore it around my finger
Through years I had that ring
It were to be loose
For my finger was getting thin
But it shall remain around my finger
Through thick and thin
I once had a ring
A very shiny ring
It shone as a sun floss
It stunned the passers across
Cleaned it with a soft silky toss
I once had a ring
A very humble ring
Made not of diamond
Nor made of gold
I were to keep it
Or so I was told
That ring was the patience
around my finger was rolled
For now my finger
To too thin for the ring
To hold
i am left with a rusty and
cold metal wire
I wear a worn ring though
Yet I do admire!
