I Only Have This Moment And I Am Savoring It Too Well. Poem by RIC BASTASA

I Only Have This Moment And I Am Savoring It Too Well.

Tony's wife left him
he would not take a bath.
Tony's version is different,
he drove her away,
he could not withstand her
despite the daily shower.

Rudy's story is different.
New York loves him, but
he loves Katipunan much
better.

Dante says he is in paradise,
but the fact is: he does not
believe in heaven.
Neither does he believe in hell.

When one dies,
he becomes nothing. Just like
any kind of
rotten vegetable.

He added: no one has come back
telling us what is there,
what is the truth and what is
the lie.

As i have told you, i have more
things to do in life.
And i am getting bitter about
all those theories.
As i have emphasized to you
i only have this moment
and i am savoring it too well.
