I Only Want You Poem by Rachel Brewer

I Only Want You

I thought my heart would burst,
In the moment I felt you at my side.
You brushed me so gently it hardly felt real,
But I loved it, each moment.
I though my heart would stop beating,
If I could never feel your touch again.
Although I know I never will,
Because you aren’t on the same track as me.
God, I so wish to be on the same road as you,
Things could work out so differently.
Different for the better,
Different for us.
Loving you, is the hardest thing in the world,
When I don’t get your love back.
Why can’t you see it?
Why can’t you share my love?
I felt my heart trembling,
Every time I passed you by.
Nothing can take away that feeling,
But it’s over, and I want more.
My heart wants you, only you,
And I can’t believe it’s never going to happen.
All I need is your love,
And I want you to have mine.
I found you,
The person I could be with.
The one person in all the world for me,
Nothing will change what you mean to me.
My heart wants you to hold it,
Love it,
Feel it.
