I own a Bible and it sits on my self
Like my pictures and trophies and everything else,
And whenever my friends come over to visit me
There on the self my Bible they all can see.
Sometimes I have to clean off all the dust
As I do my pictures and trophies which is always a must,
I like to keep my Bible always looking brand new
Whenever it happens to come into anyone's view.
Whenever anyone ever asks me if I'm a Christian
I show them my Bible knowing it will glisten,
The Bible though I have never truly read
Not one word or verse from it do I know what is said.
Yes I am a Christian I will answer to one and all
Though I don't go to church and I don't know of Luke, John or Paul,
And I have never followed any of Jesus's teachings
And I never ever read any of his preachings.
I enjoy to show my Bible as belief in the Lord Jesus
Even though I don't know really why he died for all of us,
But, they have told me it's all written in the Good Book
That is of course if I ever decided to take a read or a look.
On the shelf next to my souvenirs my Bible does lay
And there it will always stay,
There I can always show and tell others all about it
And also about my Christianity whenever they come over to visit.
