I Put Pajama Pants On Poem by Hannah Diane Williams

I Put Pajama Pants On

I put pajama pants on.
That may not sound like a big deal,
But I rarely wear anything to bed
Because I prefer to be comfortable when I'm sleeping.

I put them on because
I wanted to feel...to be
Safe, secure, loved.

Instead, I found myself
Guarded, impervious, unmoved.

From the moment you touched me,
My innocence was stolen.
And because of you,
I put pajama pants on.
