where did the days go?
the happy ones where life was simple?
washed away
by the worries and troubles of life
i remember when we used to run around
shouting, dancing
no-one could stop us
where did that go?
dead

where are the places?
the ones we grew up in?
demolished
by the mind as we grew older
i remember sitting in them
talking, crying
nothing could chase us away
where has that gone?
away

where are the friends?
the kind loving ones?
gone
blown away like the wind
i remember before we were grown up
laughing around, partying
nothing could make us break
what happened to that?
forgotten

where am i?
this lonely place doesnt look familiar
lost
alone and depressed
no-one to laugh with, no-one to talk to
i remember when it was different
when the world looked much better
more secure
what's happened to it all?
