I Remember Poem by Noelle Mott

I Remember

I remember when we used to call eachother every night,
Stay on the phone until 1 or 2 in the morning,
Your smile as white as snow,
Your as tall as mountains,
When I first met you, I wasn't interested
But then a bond between us occurred,
I know we already went our separate ways,
You went down one path and I went down the other,
Your lips are so smooth like silk,
Your eye color is the color of the Pacific Ocean,
We would hold hands and enjoyed it,
Our time together felt like eternity,
Nobody could tell us what to do,
We made our own rules to follow,
I met your family, all eight children,
Being around your family made me feel welcomed,
It was kind of a crazy house, but I had fun,
I thought about my parents having eight kids too.
You met my parents, some of my siblings,
I thought you weren't going to speak to me again
But we still talked, started dating,
Thinking about us getting married when we were older,
The arguments between us, the hurtful words,
Were part of our relationship, things we didn't mean,
One of us said something, the other reacting angrily,
We apologized to eachother, but still dated,
Cared for one another, went to places together,
Had fun, went too each other's school to see eachother,
A bond we wanted to last forever, for eternity
But it came to an end, sometimes I regret ending it,
Other times I don't because I knew we weren't meant to be.
