I Rest In You Alone Poem by Freesia Whiz

I Rest In You Alone

i sit and wonder
as the beauty of the world unfolds
right before my eyes,
taking all that i am.
i contemplate, come to my own epiphany
of what is great,
and of what is not.

i ask myself questions
'why do i even stay here? '
freezing like a marbled statue
like an ice cube,
slowly melting, vanishing.
'why do i live to know about
all the grandest things in this world
yet feel..... empty? '

these questions never left me
they continue to haunt my dreams,
my thoughts, my ways.
my very essence.

i hated myself for having to wonder
about all these,
when i can choose to stay indifferent,
apathetic.
empty.

But life is indeed crazy, wonderful, real
and hopeful.
Because these very confusions lead me to You
and my heart that was once restless
finally rests in You.

Wonderful - I love how you explain things that I feel and everyone universally feels Freesia. It was a perfect description.
