I Run After A Name I Will Never Have Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Run After A Name I Will Never Have

I run after a name I will never have
I seek an immortality that will never be mine
I am an old fool now
And I was a young fool once
If I could not laugh at myself with myself
I would probably be even more depressed
Than I am now.
