I Sat Alone

I sat alone and wondered why

People must grow old and die

And why it’s said, that “men don’t cry.”

And then the child within me wept

Losing all the sorrow it had kept

And gently turned its head and slept

But I, I sit alone and wonder why

People must grow old die
