I Sat On A Bird's Wing Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Sat On A Bird's Wing

I Sat on a Bird's Wing

I sat on a bird's wing,
And I saw such various things.
You see the bird took of,
To lands not known to me.

This wings swept the sky,
As this bird climbed higher than high.
We both flew through the clouds.
I yelled so happily out loud.

And we sped across the ocean wild.
We lowered our speed mild.
I almost slid off the wing.
The feeling was a delirious thing.

This bird and I are in love.
He took me to Heaven above.
His high speed wing,
Upon other things,
Was upon the wing of a dove.
