I see you and you see me.
We do not care about the world
and all its hate.
We carry on, play in the street
and go home before its too late.
We hug and kiss,
We are friends that grow.
We love each others company.
We learn new things everyday,
together it is always fun to be.
To us it does not matter whether
we are black or white.
We don't care about things like that.
We just want to play till the end of the day
and follow the old ginger cat.
I see you and you see me.
We see our true beings.
I hope with time nothing changes,
it won't, if we do not listen to others
biased feelings.

does not matter we are black or white....my favourite line..value laden piece
Very beautiful poem. And very poignant. Racism will consume us because some still want to contest God's decision to make varieties of the same being. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to translate this poem
to MyPoemList Ah, the " innocence" of childhood. But does it still exist today,60 years since i was a child? ? I hope so. And how long till " I" and " you" will " listen to others biased feelings" ? Hopefully " they" will stay " unbiased" , whatever that means. bri :)
