I Stand In The Broad Majesty Poem by Susmit Panda

I Stand In The Broad Majesty

I stand in the broad majesty of Night;
Often I see a lone fireworm hurtling in air
In emerald bliss - it delights my sight;
It stirs me, as I chase it with puzzled stare,
Till a strange discomfort disturbs me
Making me turn around and select to see
Upward where the stars are already gathered,
Each like a celestial dove; the untampered dark
Excites me anew, till my awe is bothered
By frenzy of subtle fret; the starred park
Claims something from my thrilled heart
Till I, a beggar being begged, vexed, depart;
Often see the Moon, in brilliance of perfection,
Fresh in vibrant stillness, stirring my head to droop and rise!
Bewildering the heart's sacred genuflection,
Slaughtering all ease each time it paved my eyes;
Who would appease the ecstasy!
Delighted and disturbed, I then cease to see

A beautifully descriptive write on the gloriousness of the night sky. Enjoyed!
