I Still Have A Dream Poem by Kurt Beard

I Still Have A Dream

53 years later there is still a dream
Love shares the dream
But hatred speaks against it
Love demands all men are created equal
But hatred demands inequality
Love seeks a seat at the table of brotherhood
But hatred seeks to take seats away
Love works for freedom and justice
But hatred works for injustice
Love judges the content of character
But hatred judges on the color of their skin
Love joins hands
But hatred tears. apart
Hatred fails many times
But love will persevere
We must have faith together
Pray together,
Stand together,
Struggle together,
Rally together,
Walk together,
Kneel together,
Hope together,
Dream together.
