I Still Have Dreams Poem by Randy McClave

I Still Have Dreams

Even after what I lost
And the high cost,
And the many heartbreaking schemes
I still have dreams.
I still seek a happily ever after,
Without pain or laughter.

Even after the hurt
And all the dirt,
And the stories unraveling at the seams
I still have dreams.
Even though she had lied,
I will not give up or hide.

Even after the cheating
And the broken promises and mistreating,
And all the pain as it seems
I still have dreams.
I still have dreams of hope and repairs,
Because, I won't allow nightmares.
