I Thirst Poem by Marie Marie

I Thirst

Rating: 5.0

I thirst
I thirst, my sweet
For love that has no end
Boundless
Freeing me from all my sorrows
And the anxieties of the morrow

I thirst, my heart
For the companionship of love
Unyielding
That I never have to be alone
In this wilderness renown

I thirst, my essence
For love so tender, so kind
Uncomplaining
That I may whine and cry
On shoulders that never tire

I thirst, I hunger, I crave
My darling
For love that fills
That satisfies
That stays
And never greys

Fine and lofty verse elegantly brought forth from the inner recesses of the heart with insight. A beautiful love poem written with clarity of thought and mind. Thanks for sharing, Marie. Remain enriched.
