I Took The Wings Poem by Seema Jayaraman

I Took The Wings

Rating: 5.0

So I took the wings
Flew over oceans and continents
Placing the distances firmly
I even took the Sun with me
Leaving you the night
Yet you jumped void
Close on my heels
Every twirl, skip and smile
Imprinted with your signature
To my secret delight
This bed of Magnolia petals
The scent on the wind
Welcoming me back
A cushion of our promises
