So long ago you were their
With your white smile
And beautiful dark hair
You couldn't wait to call me
To hear my voice on the other end
I couldn't wait to hold you
To have you in my arms
But then I left, and went far away
The lights came down on our bright days
When I returned I needed you
You left me empty, broken if you will
Ever since then I've tried to win you back
Tried to make you smile and relax
I wanted to be your number one
To be your shoulder when you go numb
But you couldn't love me again
Not like you had before
It killed me for 11 months
I couldn't heal these sores
