yes, i tried my best
but my best had to be among the worst
i thought i, ld be the first
to make it through the test
oh yes, i took the risk
i dined with the beast
with not a twick of fear
i took the greatest chance

ask me no more mother
my lips are dried and swollen
both men cant win a duel
one must be the loser

blame me no more brother
must i be a bother
make haste, be off to the fields
let me alone in my shame
