I Tried So Hard Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Tried So Hard

Given you all I had
i tried the best i could
i tried very hard
there's no more fight left in me

Stolen my heart
then you've tore it in two
falling apart
confused on what to do

decisions, decisions
Already in my mind the plans made up
But then you charm me out of it
I fall right back under your control

the present is nothing like our past
that's where you'll find me
to the way we were last
you've lost me dear, i'm no longer here

talking that big talk but it got you nowhere
drowning in your emotions
this game you play it isn't fair
if you want me, really want me, you got to convince me, really convince me that you're sincere
I don't accept half-hearted apologies
I won't give in to you when you have your pity parties
Expect me to soon walk out
I'll give you your walking papers
dismissing you in the process
from out my life
and i won't look back
