I'Ve Been Here Before Poem by david stansfield

I'Ve Been Here Before

Rating: 4.0

Captain of my soul
Please don't make me take the wheel
I'm feeling very strange
Please tell me if it's real
I built this boat
On future hopes
But I've been here before

Guardian of my dreams
Please don't let me sleep too long
I think I saw the light
But I could be wrong
I walked the line
On borrowed time
And I've been here before

Keeper of the keys
Help me to unlock the gate
I think I'm almost there
But I might be late
The things we do
To push on through
Oh, I've been here before

This is a very nice piece of poetry, perfectly presented and profound in content, just the kind of writing I like! Neil M.
