I Waited. Not Anymore.

Rating: 5.0

I waited.
I waited all those years.

Time passed.
Friends passed.
We suffered.
But still I waited.

Diligently.
Without fail.
I never doubted you.
And still I waited.

Summer Winter
Spring Fall
I was a clock on repeat
And still I waited

To me you were the sun and the moon
The ground and sky
You were my everything
And still I waited

“Give up” they told me
“He’s not coming” they said
“Can’t you see what’s right in front of your eyes”they asked
But still I waited

Maybe I was just naïve or maybe you’re the devil
You took my heart in the palm of your hand
I didn’t know it
So I waited

Finally
Reality came crashing in
I waited for you
But you didn’t wait for me

I waited
Not anymore
