Hasmukh Amathalal

I Want To - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal
I shall prefer
And opt for
Away from this selfish world
Where lots of sufferings are in fold
People are used to
As it is like big mountain to pass through
No solution can be seen within sight
Each step is witnessing fight
I want to run away
But can’t stay within
As my soul cries
For all these lies
Father kills son
Son expels parent for various reasons
Even cast and color an important role
How to respond to genuine call!
Nature has only kind things in store
Natural flavor and fragrance from flower
Trees with enormous stock of fruits
I get so much of joy out of it
I wish to be called only human
But not selfish man or woman
How can I be convinced for innocents fall?
When bullets are sprayed while attending prayer’s call
