I Want To Say I Love You Poem by ANTHONY ANIGBATA

I Want To Say I Love You

I WANT TO SAY I LOVE YOU

I want to say I love you
Before someone else say so
A secret admirer I have seen
Longing to love no one but you

Every night of you I dream
Dreams that melt my heart away
While I sleep, and to wake I never wish
Till dawn drives the dreams away

I want to say I love you;
So make me thine beau, beauteous lass
Brightest of the bevy of belles,
You moon of my nights
Lemonade on my tenderly lips
Ever lovely lenient nightingale
Stop here and here, my lecherous leitmotif

For, I have like my lax peers
Lazed away essaic days
Wandering within this walls, for your love
Yet thine disdainfulness show
Leeway
With thine hue unachievable dreams

Make me thine beau
So my velvety voice, veiled verse and verve
All in vain shouldn't be cast
On thee, nor my passionate songs
Fading in the wake of dawn,
Lay woman;
Make me thine beau, for I am the libertine,
The summer, in whacking winter

I want to be that man who takes
Pride having you as his bride
Cast me not far from thine sight
For I am but a mere man
Who have fallen to the spear of cupid

I want to say I love
For I too, I am powerless
Powerless to resist your charming presence,
Powerless to the power in your eyes
And your eye brows, as long as a broom
Powerless to your voice, as sweet as the canary
Powerless to the presence of your hips
Robust like two burging hills

Powerless to your papaya - sized breast
And powerless to the powers of your legs
Straight and long like the sugarcane.
Yet, I am powerless, to your charming character
Which is the force that pulls
All to your elfin feet
And your dazzling smiles
Shinning like the sun at noon.

I want to say I love you
Do I have a chance amongst your colony of chasers?
I will fill your days with unquenchable mirth
Till this tiny air, no longer influx my lungs
Even when the storms stray this way
Even when the rain rattles on the roof
Even when the drought dries everywhere
I shall continue to love.
For this soul has sworn
To love, and love no matter the season and weather.

I want to say I love you
For truly I really do
No one else this heart has genuinely loved
But you my trendy treasure.

I want to say I love you
Ere says so someone else
Years I have spent saying where words
Believe me for I truly do.
