I want to write a poem so powerful,
So strong that it makes people feel they belong
I'll have the words to take away their pain
Take away their breath, leave them speechless
They'll read it again, and again, and again
I want to tie their stomach in knots.
Wrap them in a blanket of words.
My poem will tell of life, and death
Of memories made, so bright
They never will fade.
I'll make them feel as if they're being torn apart,
I'll transport them to another place where their worries float away
On the wings of birds and the only thing that can be heard
Is the whisper of the angels.
