I Was Going To Buy Some Jewelry Made Of Jade Poem by Raymond Farrell

I Was Going To Buy Some Jewelry Made Of Jade

I was going to buy
Some jewelry made of Jade
I asked Dr. Chu's opinion
And he cautioned me not to
Most of it is not authentic
There is always
So much who ha
When it comes to buying jewelry
One of those
Emotionally laden affairs
I would rather avoid
But really
I don't mind it
In the end
I settled on
Three neck laces
As presents for my grand daughters
Nothing overly expensive
But not junk either
Having lived in China
About two years
I have learned from others
Not to trust what you see
It is no different
Anywhere else
So many go through life
Relying only on their senses
To get them through
And then wonder why
Things are not
Turning out as they hoped
Nothing is as it
Appears to be
At first glance
But a nice glass
Of cold water
On a hot day
Is still refreshing.

As long as you are sure it is not acid before you gulp it.: -)

To be sure, and the water we drink is indeed a cause of concern. It goes beyond that too, perchlorate which is an endocrine modulator is in a lot of the river water thanks to the defense industry etc and is on our food organically grown or otherwise. The ecological decline is pervasive.
